Launch London Wallpapers V

Our client Little Greene launched London Wallpapers V last month. Together with Ruth Mottershead (Marketing Director of The Little Greene Paint Company), we visited various home editors to introduce this beautiful wallpaper collection of authentic heritage designs.

In the early morning rush hour, we drive to Mechelen to present the heritage collection of eleven rich and authentic wallpaper designs, inspired by nearly 250 years of interior decoration, to Sanoma Belgium; Wonen Landelijke Stijl, Stijlvol Wonen, Ariadne at Home, Ariadne Brocante, and Feeling Wonen.

London Wallpapers V is, with one exception, based on fragments from the wallpaper archive of English Heritage. The exception is particularly special; the original wallpaper design still adorns the walls of a Victorian country house in South Yorkshire.

Time to get back in the car! Next stop is Sanoma Netherlands, where we will showcase the wallpaper collection to Margriet, Libelle, Flow Magazine, and Eigen Huis & Interieur. London Wallpapers V features four new wallpaper designs, combined with bestsellers from the London Wallpapers II and III collections, which have been refreshed with new color schemes.

It’s a packed day, as we also had the opportunity to visit Seasons and Residence with the London Wallpapers V wallpaper book. The oldest source material for London Wallpapers V dates back to a time when wallpaper did not yet exist. It consists of a decorative piece of leather from 1690 that was used as wall decoration at the time. “Each design has been adapted and expertly colored to suit contemporary interiors,” Ruth Mottershead shares while enjoying a snack and a drink. A lovely way to wrap up the first day!

The next morning, while we enjoy a delicious breakfast with ELLE Decoration NL, the wallpaper book is already on the table, and we discuss the remarkable historical stories behind these wallpaper designs.

We spend the afternoon of day two at Stek Magazine and Vogue Living. During the presentation, Ruth Mottershead talks about the importance of Little Greene in protecting and preserving England's heritage. The Little Greene Paint Company continues to generously contribute to English Heritage for every sold roll of wallpaper.

We reflect on two beautiful and busy days, full of inspiration and wonderful stories!
